News Analysis: America’s current on-going omnipresent ‘Metadata’ Electronic Intelligence gathering of the ENTIRE WORLD has a unique logic. It is tantamount to: Inspect an entire beach to look for a few particular grains of sand? Diminishing returns, one may argue, increase as the quantity and quality of each added telephone number, fax number. etc. are put into “The World Pot”.

Who is to stop the surveillance? Politicians? Since the “Third Leg” of the U.S. Government, the Judiciary has, to date, shown no will to excise the collections, they will continue.

It appears that the only way to engage in “Anti-Invasive Communications” (AIC) is to create totally separate systems, uncontaminated by electronic guile and obfuscation of American Electronic Component Fabricators (AECFs) and Software Creators (SCs). The bulk of the AECFs and SCs have no  credibility about NOT ‘double-dealing’  “loaded” decks of cards of the U.S. Intelligence Agencies, their handlers. The AECFs and SCs are of the exact same ilk as the popular “Inter-Personal Web Sites (the Intelligence Agencies other lap-dogs).  To date, regarding AIC, Brazil’s President, Ms. Dilma Rousseff, wants a Fiber Optic Communications line built to Portugal to thwart espionage agents. She is obviously a Country Leader who actually leads.

The basic problem with Meta-Data Collection is that it essentially makes Everyone in the World Presumptive of Guilt. “Good Gals and Guys” (of which there are billions) are tossed into the ‘Hay Pile’ with the few Miscreants. Only after they have been investigated by the Agencies, are the “Innocent” presumed to be “Innocent” UP TO THAT POINT IN TIME. According to the Agencies: “Tomorrow is another day” (follow-on examination may be requisite).

The Sanctity of other Nations is Grossly Violated though Metadata Transgressions of their Sovereignty. Who gives the “World’s Policeman” the right to Electronically Invade the Territory of other Nations, “The Almighty”? Via an electronically intercepted telephone call by HIM to the U.S. “White House”?

As mobsters do not want disclosure of their nefarious schemes, so too are both American Intelligence Agencies and Politicians loathe to disclose; hence, they are angry at Mr. Snowden. Contrarily, some people suggest that the man should be awarded an “Nobel Peace Prize”. Perhaps, various employees at the U.S. National Security Agency, who respect the U.S. Constitution, would agree?

International Businessmen need to know, for one group, that their communications are private. They do NOT need to have confidential communications shared, by American Intelligence Agencies, with competing American Corporations (or anyone else). It is completely disingenuous for the Agencies to publicly declare that they would not act as “Pipes to their Buddies”; after all, this is America, the ‘Bastion of Capitalism’. It is the originating country of A.F.A.B. (Anything For A Buck).

News Analysis: Airborne Photographic Analysis by some observant individuals produced an awareness in Siberia of the now famous “Yamal Crater”. Russian Scientists have descended into the crater to extract samples for inspection. Some earth surface explorations are as exceptional as the current comet surface exploration, European Space Agency Rosetta’s Philae Lander on Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko, which is occurring today by the Europeans.

Since the Yamal Crater is an enigma as to its origin, in a similar way is the comet, being landed upon. It is interesting that while man goes millions of miles in Space to decipher the questionable, Earth Surface Enigmas are merely ‘down the street’.

One might argue that expenditures for Earth Surface exploration are much more relevant to Man’s Survival on this “Blue Marble”; this, rather than millions of miles away on a common Ice/Rock Matrix of questionable Cosmic Significance. Yet, both investigations are worthy in that they increase Man’s Knowledge of: What has been, What is, and, perhaps, What will be. More than that, such projects provide “Job Security” for many scientists, technicians, and others who work on such long term government funded cosmic programs. International Businessmen understand this “Make Work Need” of governments. Yet, one might opine that in recessionary economies, such expensive long-term projects provide logarithmic drag on any hope of economic recovery.

The basic problem is most projects are extremely (one-of-a-kind) capital intensive up-front with anticipated YEARS LATER ‘Return on Investment’ (if a mission is a success – of which many are not). Should not such programs should have a “Trust, But Verify” of each and every element of proposals submitted for “Cost/Reward” Analysis?

If projects can be accomplished, as India just did for its Mars Atmospheric Analysis, for a fraction of the cost as America’s NASA Mars Atmospheric Project, should not people ask “how?” Although NASA sought more expanded data than the Indian Project, “Data Per Dollar” results may have been won by India.

Projects can be done in a ‘Smart Manner’, better yet, they can be accomplished in a ‘Wise Manner’. Something to think about.

Today, many business fundamentals have been tossed aside for ‘Sound Bites ‘ about future Software Success. Pitchmen, like those of the past who operated ‘Ponzi Schemes’ are bragging about their ‘Future Great “App”‘ which will revolutionize modern living’. Listeners, often technically unsophisticated individuals with money, toss millions of their dollars towards the Gypsters [as one would enthusiastically bet on the spin of a roulette wheel]. 

Rather than performing “Due Diligence” on the need for the product, its cost relative to the need, and its sustainability in future years of its user, Investors disregard ‘Business Fundamentals’. They open their pocketbooks and let the money flow.

‘IT’ Products so similar in scope, as to almost be violations of Copyright Laws, are offered to the public. Essentially there are ‘Iterations of Iterations’ being offered in the “Holographic Casinos” much like the same plethora of Electronic Slot Machines in actual ‘Gaming Emporia’.

The problem with this scenario is that the ‘Supply’ of “Same-O’s” exceeds the ‘Demand’ for such. As a consequence, like falling Dominoes, ‘Failures over Time’ are assured for Investors.

International Investors should ask: “Is what is being offered, to gain my money, really unique, useful, and sustainable as a selling product over time?” If it is not, then we suggest they take a portion of the amount they were planning on spending and enjoy their time in  actual “Bricks and Mortar” Casinos rather than Silicon Valley’s “Holographic Gaming Establishments”; the odds of winning may be better [or at least they will have had some fun].

That which is good news for airlines is terrible news for composite commercial aircraft marketing departments.

Lower oil price directions make effete their arguments for spending hundreds of millions of dollars to purchase lighter aircraft to save some aviation fuel (as the fuel gets consistently less expensive). To exacerbate the possible threat to airline financial health, the “$200.00 Per Barrel Of Oil Myth” was created and distributed by the Airframes’ Minions, the Mass Media.

The aforementioned lower price direction gains credibility as American Oil, Brazilian Oil, Egyptian Oil, Gulf States, Iranian Oil, Iraq Oil, Levant Oil, Libyan Oil, Saudi Arabia, Siberian Oil, Venezuelan Oil, and others become available in the world market.  The greater abundance of petroleum will allow refiners of Aviation Fuels to offer lower prices to the airlines. Ergo, why buy  “Lightweight Commercial Composite Aircraft” for hundreds of billions of dollars? Additionally, Aircraft Engine makers are striving to make their products more fuel efficient.

As new Commercial Aircraft become available from manufacturers in China, India, and Russia, their engineers will have had the good fortune to utilize the best elements of other aircraft manufacturers’ designs to incorporate; and, to forgo questionable elements such as all composite construction.  All Metal Aircraft, as proven through many decades in Aviation endures. They will be employing, Aluminum, Stainless Steel, and Titanium, so the flying public will have the ultimate in safety in the skies. The lower fuel prices might even make their Airlines Tickets less expensive as an added benefit!

The Wisdom of the Saudis is to be commended, for they can see the direction  Petroleum Technology is headed towards extracting more oil throughout the world.

Fashionable Environmental Protection Rules Will Not Mean Much To People Perishing From Cold Exposures Due To A Reduced American Electrical Power Grid

News Analysis: Potentially mis-guided efforts have been made by governmental agencies, using computer modeling, as well as influenced by political rhetoric, to make  myopic choices regarding Environmental Protection. Since fashionable Environmental Protection Rules will not mean much to people perishing from cold exposures due to a reduced American electrical power grid, perhaps Court Injunctions are in order to protect the Public Welfare.

The American Power Grid losing generation capacity does not bode well for its citizens. Long after the politicians who voted for spurious regulations have left office, and the ‘substitute energy systems’ aforementioned have been proven to be of minimal energy impact,  Americans will continue shivering in the cold. Legacies of inept former politicians who made poor energy choices (in the name of a ‘Clean Environment’) will remain with them and may help warm them up from the internal anger generated by such poor decisions of such people.

Does A Current Record Of The Large Amount Of Antarctic Ice Bode Well For “Global Warming”?

News Analysis: The current quantitatively measured amount of ice in Antarctica has set a record for the vast area of coverage: 20.14 Million Square Kilometers (7.78 Million Square Miles); this is a record breaker going back to 1979. Does a current existence of the large amount of Antarctic Ice bode well for “Global Warming”? Perhaps not, many scientists say. In fact, Computer Modeling, an ‘Inexact Science’ at best, displays its inherent GROSS inefficiency as it relates to these current measurements of ice.

The models missed the mark by a ‘long shot’. Through the many centuries of Man’s Explorations of this Glorious Planet, the “Money Seekers” are nearby, like Hyenas near Carrion. In this case, a former World Political Leader optimized his employment by engaging in the Clarion Call to ‘Save the Planet From Global Warming’. From this effort, many people made much money [as he may have].

Rather than EVERYONE waiting for ACTUAL SCIENTIFIC MEASUREMENTS to be taken and scrutinized, Computer Modeling was used to stir up the thundering herd of Wildebeests.

The Mass Media, wanting for a subject to write about, jumped in with ‘both feet’ and created their ‘Holographic Reality’ of “Global Warming leading to the destruction of Mankind”. Even those in the Mass Media may have earned salary increases from gained readership of this ‘Pending Catastrophe’ [which never occurred]. That ‘Climate Change’ could be a mere ‘Natural Process’ was of NO interest to them. Today, both the North and South Poles have gained increased ice expanses and depths. The “El Nino” Phenomena is largely effete.

Solar flares are much more of a potential problem than “Man’s Greenhouse Gases” ruining the atmosphere. In fact, Natural Processes on Earth contribute more to “Greenhouse Gases” than that created by industry.

Next, the Charlatans can “Computer Model” systems for control of Solar Flares and sell them to a very gullible public [inspired by news releases by the Mass Media]?

Due to a myriad of reasons, primarily pertaining to design, manufacturing, and quality issues, it is alleged that the composite aircraft, employees are building, are inherently unsafe. Ergo,

One of the reasons is that this particular Airframe is the largest dollar exporter of American goods in the world. It has been reported widely that approximately $20,000,000.00 of government credits PER PLANE are given to this manufacturer at the Federal, State, and Local Government levels.

The fact  the Engineers and Assemblers have such negative views of this composite construction should give Airline Executives time to ponder if they have been sold “Pigs in a poke”. The world flying public might also want to consider ALL aspects of what these employees have said, prior to booking flights on airlines so equipped with composite commercial aircraft. They may want to consider metal aircraft, which have lengthy histories to them.

It has been widely reported,  Airframe Executives, a few years back,  planning to retire, wanted the price of their Common Stock “Nest Eggs” to be lofty. By promoting Composite Commercial Aircraft as being lighter and presumably using less fuel as a result, airlines would ‘bite the bait’; they did. Considerations of de-lamination, safety in a emergency landing, airframe longevity, etc. were of little concern to these executives. These elements would interplay AFTER they had retired.

The “Bottom-line” scenario for many Airframe Executives is that if one of their aircraft crash, they have insurance, nothing more. Grieving for the victims and their families is not “Proper Corporate Culture”.

The Airframe Employees however, are well aware of such attitudes. You may want to listen to the Engineers and Assemblers. You may have already heard from the Marketing/Sales types wearing suits. But it appears that the Engineers and Assemblers have their legitimate reasons for refusing to fly on Composite Commercial Aircraft [which they built].

News Analysis: Air India Learns: Composite Aircraft Advertised “Lightweight” Is ‘Stealthy’; “Fuel Saving” Is ‘Cloaked’ since “Manufacturing” may be at odds with “Marketing” where it involves Commercial Airline Manufacturers.

Beyond the varied inherent problems in Carbon/Carbon Composites (as ‘Rain in the Plane’), there is also the problem of strength to highly stressed areas of an aircraft such as the “Wing Box” where it merges into the fuselage. Other areas such as the wing interfaces (hard points) with engine pylon nacelles may require additional support for strength. The list goes on and on.

Where strengthening is required, ‘Doublers’ made of Carbon/Carbon Composite can be fabricated. In many cases, Stainless Steel or Titanium is required for maximum strength. ALL of the ‘Doublers’ add weight; much more than many ‘Marketeers’ will admit to customers.

Fuel burn increases occur, with the added weight of structural enforcements, subsequently added in production. The vaunted: “5%”, “6%”, “10%”, “12%”, or “15%” Fuel Savings, touted by some airframes, is an illusion in many cases.

Since Carbon/Carbon Composite Construction FOR COMMERCIAL AIRCRAFT, is with a very short history, it is likely such aircraft can be expected to be written off in a much SHORTER LIFE SPAN. Metal aircraft have decades of life-span confirmation. They are not subject to deterioration from Solar Ray degradation of the metals (as are the adhesives used in Carbon/Carbon Construction). Furthermore de-lamination of the plies (due to stressing over time) weakens the fabrication significantly.

The Ethiopian Airlines Battery Fire, which was widely disseminated in the press, demonstrates another shortcoming of Composites: Heat. Allegedly, the Airframe rebuilt, in purported secrecy, the area that was damaged. “Why the concealment?” many airlines ask. 

Lastly, Composites do not dent; they fracture when hit. Any Landing Gear Failures will demonstrate the “Shattered Egg Shell Principle” as  Composite Aircraft Fuselages hit runways. 

From a Manufacturing perspective: If an Airline wants Longevity, Reliability, and Safety (LRS), Metal Constructions cannot be beat; a long History demonstrates this simple fact.

Alleged “Light-Weight” Construction is an also-ran in the ‘LRS’ Evaluation of Airline Aircraft to Purchase.

What materials may be suitable for Warfare Environment “Expendable” Military Aircraft is not necessarily the best for the travelling public in Commercial Airliners.
