In Colombo, Sri Lanka, China has provided funding for a massive port project that will advance the country into a ‘higher financial profile’. The country should grow logarithmically in terms of: corporate headquarters developments; engineering capabilities, financial services availability; commercial marine services, and the like; this, as the buildings are erected. “Cash Inflow” should become Sri Lanka’s reality with this project. It certainly has ‘location, location, location’ deemed essential by the aforementioned industries.

As we have written before, it is our collective opinions that rather than besmirching the ‘Lender-Borrower’ relationship, understand: “No One Coerced Anyone Into Engaging In The Project [No One]. In the instant case, China helped the Sri Lankans; we are unaware of any other of the billion/trillion dollar investment funds or other nations to do so. That China receives contempt from outsiders, for helping Sri Lanka, is pathetic.

As we look to the high North, far from Sri Lanka, in Siberia, investors are welcome to help provide capabilities and funds to develop infrastructure of this great expanse. We hope that a awareness of the potential profitability of such investments will allow businessmen to stay ‘Non-political”, and abandon the rhetoric of ‘also-rans’ who cannot efficiently run their own countries. At 8.0+% of Earth’s land area [13,100,000 square kilometers (5,100,000 square miles)] Siberia has much to offer. Beyond gargantuan forests are huge deposits of: coal, diamonds, gold, gypsum, lead, natural gas, nickel, molybdenum, oil, ‘rare earths’, silver, zinc, et al. Now, distances and terrain, need to be overcome; which they certainly can be dealt with. This ‘Horn of Plenty’ geography beckons those with a ‘Long View’ of business sustainability; not mere ‘Day-Traders’ as some are in London and New York City.

Siberia, with ‘100,000’ rivers, the largest being the Lena, Ob, and Yenisei, infrastructure, as bridges, will be essential. Airports construction, will also be essential, small or large. The famous “Trans-Siberian Railway”, we expect would have even greater expansion through the area in the future.

Our views are Large Projects require: Comprehension of the problem and a viable solution; Superb design; Quality materials for longevity; Efficient Production; Precise Accounting for cost controls; Maintenance Management; and Proper Funding [at a reasonable loan cost]. By dealing with a nation, such as China, in the aforementioned Sri Lanka project, we think each element of the above stated will be attained. China’s vast projects on its own ‘turf’ have been exemplary.

For Some Nations’ Leaders, The Only “Mine” Of Which They Are Seeking, As To A ‘Green Energy’ Source, Is “Mine” [As In Legal “Possession”]

It behooves them to endorse easily saleable concepts such as: ‘Green Energy’ or ‘Zero Carbon’, or ‘Non-Polluting’, or most laughable perhaps ‘Free Energy’! That is why many become Politicians and evolve into ‘Career Politicians’ [what other line of work can they perform competently?]

We, in International Business, have a operational adage regarding the many flamboyant ‘Project Front-Men’ we have met or have seen in the past, and today’s current iterations of the same ilk: “Delusions of grandeur are based on illusions of adequacy”. These “Prophets of Profit” never use their own funds for projects but instead seek out the sheep to invest. Some of the more opportunistic sorts implore foreign corporations to provide funds, since the ‘entrepreneurs’ are so “Connected to the ‘BIG GUY‘” [great success is surely theirs to be].

We can certainly witness, for example, the Rare Earths and Strategic Metals quest currently going on with the Americans. How many countries’ Leaders had the forethought to become “Giants” in ore processing [such as ‘Rare Earths’] as did the Leaders in Beijing?

It is our hope for 2022 and beyond that the Puppet Masters’ Masters, their Acolytes and Minions consider that a possible ‘Fiasco-In-The-Making’ is under the guise of “Clean Air/Earth Atmosphere Temperature Control/Economic Prosperities Re-Located”. The Sheep may gullibly follow the Pied-Pipers off the cliff; or may ‘Wise-Up’. If they realize the effects of Cosmic and Solar radiation, Volcanism, De-Forestation, et al have, they might take exception to the “Electric Vehicle ‘Global Salvation'”and “NAT [Not Always There] Energy sources for what they are: Small Gains at Great Costs. We have noted, in previous articulations, about the vast differences of insidious corruption in various countries of the world. It is a fact that the real losers, by corruption in any country, are both its citizens, as well as any honest government leaders trying to increase living qualities of their public.

In our global discussions and travels, while looking into all sorts of business proposals, and discussing such with businessmen in those countries, we have repeatedly noticed a constant question by them: “What is the level of honesty in America, in business or government?” Our replies are: “In both arenas, as ‘Honest’ as can be; until caught being crooked. The biggest thieves in the world want to fish in the biggest-money Sea, using baited-hooks, or fish-nets. America quickly rose to power through hard work but also, in part, through financial guile. The ‘Morality of the market-place’ in either arena, is as high a ‘Park Bench‘, unfortunately.”

We have noted before, of the scalar quality of corruption in America. Example: Rising to the high level of hegemonic actions; as, that of Joseph P. Kennedy, Senior [the former President’s father]. Mr. Kennedy, and his associates, used the U.S. Government apparatus to destabilize Cuba [ousting President Carlos Prio Socarras]; this, so Sergeant Fulgencio Batista y Zaldivar could take over the country for Mr. Kennedy’s ‘ownership’. It was planned to turn the country into Mr. Kennedy’s fiefdom. Once acquired, he could make it a low-tax haven for his cronies in New York, Washington, D.C., and elsewhere. He was also interested in Cuba’s Oil and wanted to develop the asset and sell it to other nations. Some of us had family members who had dealt with this man and he was very interested in oil tanker use, port development, et al as to hydrocarbons. Other Cuban mineralizations did not escape his interest. “Location, location, location” ‘Empire’ benefits were just 90 miles off America’s coast. The wonderful Cuban people were to be mere ‘peons’ for his purposes. This ‘Wolf’ salivated, one can be assured. This scheme was similar to his earlier interests in the benefits of his owning Vietnam, as we had written previously.

We think such hegemonic actions by individuals for their own financial gains are horrendous ideas: “COLONIALISM ‘SUCKS’!”. A corruption variation in America that has been employed for decades is : “Pay to Play” [Bribe U.S. Government Officials or their family members]. One obvious example of this practice is the rampant corruption occurring in ‘broad-daylight’ for twenty years, in Afghanistan. Of the 2.3 trillion of U.S. Taxpayer monies that went into the country, much went out into Afghani Leaders accounts elsewhere. As public as were these transfers, U.S. ‘auditing personnel’ did nothing to stop it. To pay for ‘Silence’ , one must suppose a portion of each transfer went into Americans hands. How much of this money is now in Tampa?

On a much larger scale are the contributions to a former U.S. President and his foundation: a estimated 1.3+ billion dollars. We understand that since his influence through the U.S. State Department has waned, so have the contributions from many countries’ businessmen and businesswomen. As to the intentions of each of those people, we can only hypothesize. Maybe they were being eleemosynary in thought. However, the recipients could always say: “No Thank You”, and decline the gifts. Our position is: “Do not blame the offeror; you might misinterpret his or her intentions. However, if you accept, that which you think is of questionable veracity, as to rationale of the offeror, you are the Fool.”

As public belittlement of “Prostitution” in America is prevalent, we, in International Business, are of the opinion: Bureaucrats, Businessmen, Government Leaders, who accept bribes, are far worse. They damage, large scale, the Nation’s “Moral Integrity”.

Green Energies Are Myths Marketed As: “‘Free Lunches’ Are Attained”

A SUPERB and IN-DEPTH analysis of realities of Green Energy products used in Green Energy projects: Electric Vehicle productions, Wind Vanes, et al, is the report: “The Dirty Truth About Clean Technologies [Mining The Planet To Death]” by “Spiegel International”. This typical “Spiegel International ” quality “holds no punches and tells it as it is” [which is reflective of attitudes of ‘Miners in the real world’].

Our having been involved, in one way or another, in various mining operations on various continents, in projects seeking different minerals, has allowed us insight into ‘mining realities’. One reality that stands out is “There is NO FREE LUNCH in mining.“ Every aspect of this activity is costly. One easy element to present to the inexperienced is: As mineral quantities are reduced through mining removal for processing, more energy is required to find and bring to process, remaining ores.

The fact that other minerals, which exist in large quantities in other countries, than currently used in gasoline or diesel vehicles in America and Europe in particular, create new environmental problems. For example, South American Lithium ore being extracted for Electric Vehicle batteries require prodigious amounts of water for mining activities; gasoline and diesel fuels do not have this need. Mining for wind vanes have Chilean Copper usage, in their designs, way beyond Coal, Gas, and Oil for energy. Coal, Oil and Gas are not accessibility-limited, since they are void of being NAT {Not Always There} Energies, as are Wind and Solar energy forms. That they need ‘filtration’ no one denies. Technological advances will be made since there is much money to be made in doing so. The “Green Energy” modicum is a excellent stimulus, we think.

When the Green Energies are used, as they should be, but in conjunction with existing RELIABLE ENERGY SOURCES, their ‘cost-footprints’ are made at a great distance from the users, as aforementioned. All of the materials for their production and immediate usage, as when one charges up the car batteries, have required assets from somewhere else. If the vehicle drivers for example, are proud of not polluting their communities, they have already polluted other areas [where their energies were sourced]. Maybe, after reading the report, a enlightened public will realize that criticizing nations such as China for presently using Coal, as it migrates to Green Energy, cannot be instantly accomplished. The fact that China had the foresight to comprehend the need for ore processing capabilities reflects excellence in governance; “Sour Grapes” attitudes by ‘Germalists’ writing in other nations, do not ‘cut it’. We ask: Why did your countries’ ‘Billionaires’, if they are so smart, NOT think ahead and go into ore processing? Who stopped them? The sames question for your governments. Were they spending funds for hegemonic actions? Our Observation: “As A Ship Is No Better Than Its Crew, A Crew Is No Better Than Its Captain”; So It Goes For Vessels, Nations, And Businesses

We, in International Business, for a number of decades have witnessed, what we consider very poor leadership in many ‘Arenas’ by those who had been selected to lead. The adage: “God only made one Winston Churchill” is very applicable to many nations of the world today, unfortunately. As an example: It seems, as to politicians, once in office, for many, their country Treasury is their personal ‘Piggy Bank’; for them to use as they choose. So, they benefit family members and friends profusely, while their citizens ‘pay the tab’. A iteration of this situation has, and is taking place in America. It seems the son of the Selected President had, and is, using his birth connections to his father, for personal gain from foreign business interests [who desire entree into the White House in Washington, D.C.]; so it goes.

A deviation of the ‘Captain’ role, with politicians, are those seeking access to ‘ship navigators’. By having family members, to those in the House of Representatives and Senate, knowing which direction the ‘ship’ will be sailing, the information is passed along to husbands, et al for investment purposes. As we had mentioned in previous writings, those making roughly $200,000.00+ per year, and accumulate $100,000,000.00+/- before leaving office, are suspect. “Financial Acumen Extraordinaire” by family members, their Political Party ‘Germalists’ will assure the public: “There is nothing crooked with this play.” Sure.

The problem with ‘Miscreant Mediocre Minds’ enacting laws for countries, is the un-affordable accumulation of debt which can rise into many trillions of dollars over a couple of decades; so it has gone this way in America [$28,000,000,000,000.00+ to date], as an example of what we write.

Perhaps the world needs to pay attention to the ‘Ship Captains of the past’ who sailed or caravaned from the Atlantic Ocean, to the Pacific Ocean and back again, over a period of about 500 years. A compendium of negative events, the most pronounced being: The lack of capital for seafarers, their sustenance, and of ships’ maintenance, by some devious Vessel Owners, appear to have fallen on deaf United Nations members’ ears.

We, for many decades, have closely participated in various ways, and watched World Maritime Shipping with great interest. Today, some Ship Owners have ignored International Maritime Organization requirements for both safe crews and ships. The Coronavirus CV19 Pandemic has exacerbated a dearth of funding for the aforementioned. Essentially ‘Involuntary Servitude’ of prior centuries has been reformatted into ‘Slavery on Ships’ today.

Crews cannot leave their vessels since nations are concerned they may transmit the CV19 virus to their citizens. Chandlers must also be very cautious. Some Ship Owners have ‘skated away’ from providing funds for the crews and their ships’ maintenance.

We find it remarkable that while ship engine pollution and rules of such are written about profusely by the “Germalists”, we had mentioned in other articles, few say anything about the Seafarers current plight. As Main Stream Media {MSM}, the agents of the PMM’s, go about their tasks of influencing Sheep to have favorable [or un-favorable] views and commensurate actions by the quadra-peds, we see repetitive tactics used consistently.

“Global Warming” became the ‘sine qua non’ rallying cry to the Sheep. Apparently, they were not listening, so “voila!”, a transformation to the current ‘Climate Change‘ became fashionable. MSM ‘Germalists’ started panic pronouncements about: “All of the world’s ice deposits are melting and everyone in most locales risk being flooded out [Anthropogenesis was, and is, at work”, all were told]. Any claims that Gaia was merely in a natural ‘ebb and flow’ of energy levels, historically recurring, was derided as heretical. To suggest ‘Cosmic’ contributions through solar storms, et al, was, and is, even more blasphemous.

We, in International Business, are amused by many examples of the ‘tu quoque’ ideations. One glaring example is the Financial Community extolling the virtues of fighting global warming, and blaming others, while at the same time establishing data mining operations for crypto-currencies [which use enormous amounts of electricity!]. Are these ‘mining operations’ the best use of electricity when and where ‘brown-outs’ and ‘black-outs’ are feasible? In areas where such hot conditions might not be of concern, why not sell the surplus of electricity to other nations? Touted wind-farms and solar parks could benefit societies greater than ‘financial creations’ even less ‘sturdy’ than “Derivatives” brokers love.

The “Northern Transportation Corridor” [NTC], which has opened up, is a very viable and needed addition for transportation of commodities and goods across the Arctic, from Asia to Europe, and back, we think. The recent unfortunate blockage of the Suez Canal due to inclement weather events, is a valid reason to have more routes around the planet. The fact that Russian experience in such cold environments is spectacular, should lead businessmen to seek shorter transit times so they can have greater profits. The facilities, and ships of Russia will assure safe sailing; “No ‘Pirates’ dare take on the Bear”. Russian Leadership, under steadfast President Putin, makes this entire geography accessible for commercial endeavors also. Investors should consider Arctic and Siberian economic opportunities in this ‘Land of Plenty’, are our opinions. Yet, MSM acolytes apparently have apparently been instructed by PMM’s orders to denigrate Russia for protecting its ‘turf’ with its military might. Since this NTC is extremely valuable, why would the sovereign nation possessing it, not protect it? The Non-Governmental Organizations have been busy in this regard, we have noticed. Our opinions are: It is a insult to recipient nations to think their Accountants, Engineers, Estimators, and Fabricators cannot assess, freely and openly, over a period of months or years, if they want to proceed with the lender. It is also asinine to the lender to have its motives besmirched. Who is coercing these countries to engage? None whom we are aware. They certainly can seek competitive bids from other lenders if they choose. One cannot fault a ancient culture for wanting to benefits its people even more, as it helps other peoples elsewhere.

We ask, how many qualified damage assessments are made wherever a gas or oil core drill holes are dug in any ocean of the world? Are not the nearby fauna displaced by the drilling activity nearby? One might even think that the removal of manganese nodules, for example, which will be ‘quickly’ replaced by the same chemical actions which created them, is less invasive than drilling large pipes thousand of feet into seabeds [and their remaining in place for eons].

One may assume the great ocean currents of the world, in terms of: Variety of seaborn minerals transported; Levels of Oxygen transmitted; Variations of water temperatures; and Strengths of water current are all more encompassing to life in the seas than fauna on the ground. If this is indeed the case, then one can argue that “Seabeds are more ‘dynamic'” than critics of Seabed Mining admit. Seabeds can recover from nodule removal in the dynamic environment in which they reside.

Many people think that Governmental bureaucracies needing more time to evaluate the world oceans [362 million square kilometers (140 million square miles)] is surreptitious scheming and scamming at best. ‘Bureaucratic Inefficiencies’ are well known around the world. It is inherent in their makeups. Left to those government ‘Chaps’, decades upon decades will lead to conclusions of ‘nothingness’ having been achieved [they will have earned many paychecks though]. Has land-based mining been scrutinized to the same level as ‘Nodule Mining’ by these bureaucrats? “No”, are our opinions. Perhaps the ‘bleakness’ of land areas where much land-mining is performed is the reason? Ask the governments’ bureaucrats. Just look at ‘Lithium’ mining around the world, for a start.

A more logical proposition is: Commence “Seabed Nodule Mining” in specific ‘limited-size’ areas of the world’s oceans and review ‘significant changes’ if any thereafter. Investigate values of seabed remediation, following mining activities. Certainly, where the aforementioned gas/oil drilling has been taking place for decades, in many areas of the world, comparisons can be made as to any untoward effects in the seabeds.

We think that the ready availability of mining metals in the ocean has a financial viability few land-based areas can match [Afghanistan, North Korea, Siberia, and Venezuela are exceptions [as they abound in certain mineralizations]. Some of the profits from the seabed mining could go to Oceanographic Institutes for fauna/flora development in seabeds. The great wealth lying on seabeds is a great draw for commerce. ‘Conscientious Capitalists’ who engage in ‘Nodule Mining’ can benefit: Citizens of seaside countries, Seabeds located therein, and certainly themselves for the investment risks taken.

‘Corporate Fashionability’ [against Nodule Mining] articulated by managers, appears to be mere ‘Marketing Ploys’ since land-based mining is only given superficial review, unless a major catastrophe,occurs. [After all, they did not climb their corporate ladders by being ‘Mavericks’ but, by being ‘Yes-Men’, many observers think].

Reality: ‘The Man Upstairs’, in his Wisdom, did not stop placing valuable minerals which his creation, Man, could use, from land to seashores, but beyond as well.

Dubrovnik, Croatia To Sofia, Bulgaria: 400 Miles Apart Geographically, Yet Vastly Different In Crime Rates [As To The Other Nations Also]

It is interesting to comprehend how people can be so close to each other, yet so varied as to some of their behaviors. The excellent “Eurostat’s: ‘Crime, Violence, Or Vandalism In The Local Area” Report illustrates this reality. The reported crime in Croatia is listed at ‘2.7% of total population in 2019’ and in Bulgaria [Europe’s highest rated reporting percentage] is ‘20.2%’ which is almost ‘ten times’ as great [generally speaking].

We, in International Business, have engaged citizens of the aforementioned countries, as well as all members of the European Union [E.U.]. The ‘World View’ we have developed, over many years, is no different for our European friends. That is to say: “It is not the people of a country that may be problematic in business, it may be just the behaviors of a few that we question. Even then, those same people may be totally acceptable to engage ‘on a different day’?”

The wide disparity in reported crime levels: for example of Greece [16.9%] to neighboring Italy [9.4%] is easier to comprehend than some of the other nations’ rates. Italy has manufacturing in Aircraft, Automobiles, Ships [all of international renown]; Greece has none. These all bode well for it. Perhaps, the present Greeks Leaders, will show “business acumen” ‘by the bootstraps’, and thus, make Greece a ‘Commercial Manufacturing Entity’, as Italy has been, since the exact same time-frame. And most importantly of all: WITHOUT EXCUSES BY GREEK LEADERS, AS TO WHY THIS IS NOT BEING DONE FOR THEIR CITIZENS! Greek Leadership needs, ‘unowned’ impartial advisors for significant results.

We hope that the tie-up for electrical power transmission from Israel to Europe, through Greece, may have a benefit to the Greeks. The Israelis understand International Commerce and are well-respected for market products, as such. Maybe, Greeks can learn from the Israelis what to do, in that regard? Also, Greece’s tie-up with a strong leader, as is Abdel Fatah el-Sisi, of Egypt, to Gas and Oil projects, will gain it additional revenue.

Coronavirus [CV19] should have demonstrated to the Greeks, that their 20%+/- of national income being derived from tourism, is a ‘weak brother’ to have to rely on. Small virions can destroy the ‘Hospitality Industry’ forthwith.

We think the leaderships of Hungary [5.3%] and Poland [4.4%] evidence what can be done to minimize miscreant actors behavior and keep crime rates low. In both countries, strong leadership, decried by some weak leaders elsewhere, provides a ethos for their citizens of “RESPECT”. Both Leaders, are what we would deem to be “Internationalists”, not ‘Globalists’; this attitude we praise. These Gentlemen want the very best for their citizens [an admirable trait]. The European Union Leaders should think about Belgium [13.3%], (where the E.U. is headquartered) when they decide to deride Hungary’s and Poland’s leadership.

Reality: “Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions” come about in nations with ‘Strong Leadership’ guiding a ‘Principled Public’.
