Australian Bureaucrats, In A Short Span Of Time, Allowed 46,000 Years Of Culture To Be Devastated

When a mining company wanted to engage in site development, it obtained the proper certification from the Australian government. The problem is that the bureaucrats in the government did NOT properly engage in ‘Due Diligence’; this, in assessing the effects of the intended actions of the mining company applicant. Negligently, they approved its permit. The explosives detonated, during site development, collapsed the Aborigines sacred caves; artifacts were destroyed. Unfortunately, 46,000 years of culture went up in smoke, due to the explosives’ forces. .

It appears that the Federal Government of Australia is re-thinking the entire Permit Process on Indigenous lands; this is good. Another large mining company, apparently understood the tragedy of the damage due to ‘Bureaucrat Inefficiency’ and lack of cultural cognizance. This new applicant must now carefully proceed with its intended mining activities. Since mining companies want to engage in resources extractions, with NO intentions of destroying cultures, they ALL must heed the opinions of those who own the land; this, if they want to mine successfully therein.

We love mining and understand the arduous nature of this ‘beast’; one which can be very unforgiving to those ‘plying the ground [above or below]’. It is our opinions that in evaluating a possible site, beyond the topography, core and seismic evaluations, mining executives MUST consider: the flora, fauna, and “Occupant Culture”. That which existed and/or exists, must be entered into the investment equation. This, even if it adds expenses to a potential operation.

Land remediation should also be duly costed into a potential project. It behooves EVERY mining operation to leave a mine site similar to what it was, before even core samples were obtained. Good “Community Will’ is priceless for a successful business. The smell of a bad reputation exceeds the location of the ‘business corpse’.

Beyond the varied inherent problems in Carbon/Carbon Composites (as ‘Rain in the Plane’), there is also the problem of strength to highly stressed areas of an aircraft such as the “Wing Box” where it merges into the fuselage. Other areas such as the wing interfaces (hard points) with engine pylon nacelles may require additional support for strength. The list goes on and on.

Where strengthening is required, ‘Doublers’ made of Carbon/Carbon Composite can be fabricated. In many cases, Stainless Steel or Titanium is required for maximum strength. ALL of the ‘Doublers’ add weight; much more than many ‘Marketeers’ will admit to customers.

Fuel burn increases occur, with the added weight of structural enforcements, subsequently added in production. The vaunted: “5%”, “6%”, “10%”, “12%”, or “15%” Fuel Savings, touted by some airframes, is an illusion in many cases.

Since Carbon/Carbon Composite Construction FOR COMMERCIAL AIRCRAFT, is with a very short history, it is likely such aircraft can be expected to be written off in a much SHORTER LIFE SPAN. Metal aircraft have decades of life-span confirmation. They are not subject to deterioration from Solar Ray degradation of the metals (as are the adhesives used in Carbon/Carbon Construction). Furthermore de-lamination of the plies (due to stressing over time) weakens the fabrication significantly.

The Ethiopian Airlines Battery Fire, which was widely disseminated in the press, demonstrates another shortcoming of Composites: Heat. Allegedly, the Airframe rebuilt, in purported secrecy, the area that was damaged. “Why the concealment?” many airlines ask. 

Lastly, Composites do not dent; they fracture when hit. Any Landing Gear Failures will demonstrate the “Shattered Egg Shell Principle” as  Composite Aircraft Fuselages hit runways. 

From a Manufacturing perspective: If an Airline wants Longevity, Reliability, and Safety (LRS), Metal Constructions cannot be beat; a long History demonstrates this simple fact.

Alleged “Light-Weight” Construction is an also-ran in the ‘LRS’ Evaluation of Airline Aircraft to Purchase.

What materials may be suitable for Warfare Environment “Expendable” Military Aircraft is not necessarily the best for the travelling public in Commercial Airliners.

News Analysis: Former U.S. President Bill Clinton allegedly told former U.S. Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner that he should get Mr. Lloyd Blankfein, Goldman Sachs C.E.O., into an alley and “Slit his throat”. Such a reprehensible comment by the former U.S. President shows an obvious ignorance of the fact “There are No Long Term Secrets”. What one says or does in today’s world will become public knowledge eventually. Despicable comments by U.S. Presidents will be noted even sooner than that.

If such a comment had been made by Mr. Blankfein about Mr. Clinton, even in jest, the U.S. Secret Service would have interrogated him and the U.S. Attorney General might file charges against the vocal aggressor. 

It is interesting to note that other world leaders, past or present, such as Mr. Hu Jintao or Chinese President Xi Jinping, are far too wise to indulge in naïve hostile rhetoric aimed at a world business leader such as Mr. Blankfein. To think of German Chancellor Angela Merkel making such a pronouncement would be unbelievable. Such able World Leaders and International Businessmen know that if there is one universal enduring truth in Global Commerce or Government it is: “There Are No Long Term Secrets”.

The alleged comment by the present resider in the U.S. White House, as stated by unidentified members of his staff, “I am good at killing people”, as has been reported in the news, also displays a naivety of gigantic proportions about his view of his ordering  drone attacks on civilians in the Middle East. 

Perhaps Presidents of the United States should study the Chinese Culture and gain some of its wisdom, from thousands of years of its existence. Then they might understand why Mr. Xi and  Premier Li Keqiang think positive thoughts and deeds (so that their “Good” which goes around, comes around and prospers their country).

As for legitimately aggrieved Mr. Blankfein, we will continue to wish him the best now and into the future. He is a man who has been unreasonably besmirched by a lesser individual. As the adage goes: “Just consider the source”.

At present, allegedly Eight Federal Helicopters, Assorted Snipers, and Troops with various High-Power Weapons have surrounded the Ranch Premises of the “Sage Brush” Interlopers (who are also the feared Tortoise ‘Threateners’). Perhaps they are “Tumble Weed Terrorists” of which the U.S. Government Electronically Monitors, people ask.

The Public also wonders if the President of the United States will order a “Hellfire” Missile to be shot at the Ranch House; Since he does have past experience overseas ordering such attacks. It is far better to be beholden to No Others, than to be a Minion to a “Tyrant”, many people think. Often, a Country with Weak Leaders who lack confidence, will seek out “Alliances” with other Nations; Cooperation is good, Kowtowing is bad. These Politicians effectively make their constituencies Servile to another Country’s Leadership; a Bad Idea!

We think as “Independence of Thought” is an excellent idea for People, it also of “Survival Value” for Nations. Perhaps, Hegemonic Nations, which presently exist, might be Less Truculent if they understand that their Aggressions will not be tolerated by Self-Sufficient Countries.
