Mother Nature’s “Lightning”: A Clear And Present Danger

A Texas rancher, unfortunately, found some of his livestock, which has been standing near a fence, dead from a lightning strike. Each year, world-wide it is estimated that domestic, as well as feral animals, are killed in the hundreds of thousands by lightning strikes. The cost to the owners of the herds is prodigious. The reality of the matter is not much has been done to protect livestock in such weather. If one ‘thinks outside the box’ there is no reason insulated transportable small ‘barns’ could not be designed and inexpensively manufactured for herd shelters.

In the areas, such as Arkhangai Province near Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, herders lose thousands of their animals yearly due to horrendous lightning storms, snow and wind. In -30C [-22F] temperatures; this loss can be reduced significantly with the aforementioned portable insulated ‘small barns’. Losses from electrical storms, in particular, could be prevented. As for humans, we are better off.

The capacity to kill, from lightning’s electrical energy, is well-known by all. In fact, it kills on average, approximately 6 people per million, per year, world wide. If one presumes there exists approximately 7.8 billion people on Earth, one sees that 46,850+/- people perish yearly from strikes. In agricultural areas around the world, for humans, the death toll is higher, due to lack of effective shelters, than of residents in cities. In urban areas one is safer due to effective housing. Since lightning injuries exceed deaths, by ten times, human suffering is quite vast. Numerically, lightning strikes to humans, and animals, as well damage such as forest fire started from the strikes, are as destructive as many ‘Influenza Pandemics’. As to ‘Flora’ damage, there is no contest.

Having engaged in hard rock mining, many of us are quite familiar with lightning storms causing ignition of blasting caps for dynamite charges. [We are also aware of firearms shots detonating sticks of dynamite; This we have witnessed]. For miners, several thousand feet underground, lightning can kill; as historical evidence in Africa has shown. It behooves executives of mining companies to secure the best of insulation for their miners in remote locales, world-wide.

It is imperative for effectively-insulated building designs to be employed, as the, in-fashion phrase, ‘Climate Change’ [no longer, “Global Warming”] evidences climatic deviance in weather patterns. This evolution in climate may produce more electrical storms in greater varied locations, and of stronger electrical intensities. At present, it appears that Japan is the leader in building fabrications with the fewest lightning strike victims in the world; a fact of which the country’s leaders should be proud.

Reality: For all living creatures and humanity, respect for ‘Mother Nature’ with her powers is essential. Those unaware, or in denial, can pay the price for this lack of acknowledgement.

Mongolia’s Massive Recycling Means “Millions”

News Analysis: Mongolia’s Massive Recycling Means “Millions” of Dollars being earned by the Nation.  Hundreds of Thousands of Automobiles will be headed for recycling (once the facilities are built and employees trained for the task). Old Boilers, Refrigerators, and Television Sets  will join the Automobiles in their destruction.  This Recycling Project is of a Massive Scope; It has plenty of product suited for elimination therein.

Entrepreneurs who might be able to use any of the By-Products emanating from the process may want to consider creating or “Staking” an existing company for the purpose. The friendly Mongolian Government facilitates Investors in such projects, many people say.

The World Belongs to the Aggressive. Reality.

Mongolian President Seeks Capitalistic Competition

News Analysis: Mongolian President Seeks Capitalistic Competition to State-Owned Enterprises (SOE’s). Mongolian President Tsakhia Elbegdorj understands that the Efficiencies Of Capitalism Outperform Government Monopolies in many ways. Since Governments are theoretically set up to Serve the Needs of their Citizens,  Profit Motives ideally are Void. Once established, a Government Entity (GE) is “Service Oriented” not “Profit Oriented”; as such, Hyper-Efficiency is Not part of its Operational Paradigm. As the ‘GE’ morphs into the “Capitalistic World” of Selling Goods and Services, it brings ‘Inefficient Bureaucrat Systems’ with it. Government Monopolies  do NOT have a History of Modernity of Operations nor one of Systemic Efficiencies. These Assets are not in their “Blood Lines”; A “Plow Horse” can never be a “Racing Thoroughbred”.

Government Entities DO HAVE: Access to Capital from their Central Banks or from Individual Banks in the countries; A Monopoly of Control over Types And Distributions of Businesses; and, “Rubber Stamp” Approval for All of their actions. These hurt Private Companies.

If Government Employees own Competing Companies to Private Industry, Competition is Doomed. The Tainted relationships of the Cabal between the Government and the Company Owners in the Government is a Conflict of Interest; it should be eliminated. Since Directives to rid these Corrupt Relationships are typically not obeyed, Prompt and Stern Measures are Required for Enforcement.

Additionally, the ‘Profits’ derived by the Dis-Enfranchised Owners will probably be sent to their Foreign Bank Accounts or Private Entrepot. Forensic Accounting is Mandatory for the retrieval of funds back to the country.

The Citizens of Countries prosper when and where Capitalistic  Competition Flourishes; Better Products and  Better Services at Lower Prices are the End Results.

When a ‘Super-Power’ Nation attempts to Expand an Ideology of “Federalism” into the Private Sector, Operational Disaster awaits even  it; as “Powerful” as it is Internationally. Capitalism, not Federal Capitalism is best. Younger, Inexperienced Government Leaders need to learn this Fact-of-Life.

Lesser Government is Better Government. Reality.

$560,000,000.00 a Year Needed by Mongolia for Its Public’s Weather Comfort

News Analysis: The Asian Development Bank’s estimate of the needs of Mongolia’s  3,226,000+/- population reveals a climatic reality which is developing. The Ulaanbaatar Government, with a Gross Domestic Product of $15,000,000,000.00 has the financial ability to deal with any weather problems promptly.

The acquisition of Proven Technologies for extreme cold in construction, such as Mega-Temp™ Insulation, can make new buildings very comfortable. Where the product is applied, a minimum of gas or electrical energy is then used for building heating. Any special  thermal control such as for a ‘hot house’ built therein, to grow vegetables during the winter, thereafter only use very little energy [because the thermal baseline has been raised]. Also, the huge livestock losses of the past few winters could have been greatly reduced if the Mega-Temp Insulation™ had been applied to the insides of the Husbandry Shelters.

Governments must be responsive to the needs of their citizens. Since more severe winters have started to occur and probably will continue for at least several decades [30 Year Cycle] proven technologies such as Mega-Temp™ Insulation should for thermal control. For flooding and other events associated with weather change, other technologies should be sought on the markets of the world.
