Technology Gambling In “Holographic” Casinos May Provide A Thrill; But Will Provide A Chill

News Analysis: Cash being ‘Invested’ in “Silicon Valley” Information Technology (IT) Companies, in particular,  apparently is no longer based on proficient new technologies, rarity of supply, nor Product Sales profitability to the creators. As such, Technology Gambling in ‘Holographic Casinos’ may provide a thrill; but will provide a chill to many Investors.

Today, many business fundamentals have been tossed aside for ‘Sound Bites ‘ about future Software Success. Pitchmen, like those of the past who operated ‘Ponzi Schemes’ are bragging about their ‘Future Great “App”‘ which will revolutionize modern living’. Listeners, often technically unsophisticated individuals with money, toss millions of their dollars towards the Gypsters [as one would enthusiastically bet on the spin of a roulette wheel].

Rather than performing “Due Diligence” on the need for the product, its cost relative to the need, and its sustainability in future years of its user, Investors disregard ‘Business Fundamentals’. They open their pocketbooks and let the money flow.

‘IT’ Products so similar in scope, as to almost be violations of Copyright Laws, are offered to the public. Essentially there are ‘Iterations of Iterations’ being offered in the “Holographic Casinos” much like the same plethora of Electronic Slot Machines in actual ‘Gaming Emporia’.

The problem with this scenario is that the ‘Supply’ of “Same-O’s” exceeds the ‘Demand’ for such. As a consequence, like falling Dominoes, ‘Failures over Time’ are assured for Investors.

International Investors should ask: “Is what is being offered, to gain my money, really unique, useful, and sustainable as a selling product over time?” If it is not, then we suggest they take a portion of the amount they were planning on spending and enjoy their time in  actual “Bricks and Mortar” Casinos rather than Silicon Valley’s “Holographic Gaming Establishments”; the odds of winning may be better [or at least they will have had some fun].

Reality.

How Diligent Must “Due Diligence” Be?

News Analysis: A Miami, Florida Real Estate Developer purchased land on which was allegedly discovered (a number of years ago) to be a 2,000 year old  “Tequesta” Residential Community. Now the Developer is concerned that its Investment in the 34 Story Project will be Abrogated by Authorities (possibly with only partial compensation returning to the Developer).

A question of Investors regarding the property, assuming an Eminent Domain or comparable Action is taken by Authorities, if “Due Diligence” was performed Prior To the Escrow Close of the Property? Beyond mere Title Searches, what Physical Tests, if any, were conducted? Tests (such as Shallow-Drilled Core Samplings)  may have discovered Artifacts just under the topsoil). Also, Ground Penetrating Radar may have shown any anomalies such as Panther (Puma concolor coryi) or Whale Bones up to a depth of approximately 12 meters (37 feet). Beyond the drilling, Soil Chemical Composition Testing would show Atypical Elements present in the “Sand” such as Iron Oxide (Fe2O3) for example. If detected, one would have to examine how it was imported onto the property.

Another Investigation Platform would be any Old Mapping performed by ‘Pioneers’ in the area (or years later by Railroad Surveys); Both would be in Public or University Libraries of any consequence.

For the City of Miami, Dade County, the State of Florida, and America, many Citizens consider the Site Priceless; another 34 Story Building (perhaps, not so).

Investors, who put their monies in this Project may want to ask; “Why were not the Aforementioned Investigations, as noted above, undertaken, if they were not?” “Is not the Real Estate Developer and/or ‘Structural Engineering Contractor” actually experienced in such “Pre-Construction” Matters?” Some say: “The Expense ‘Saved’, by not discovering nor understanding the Legal Implications of the Tequesta Village, may become very Expensive.”

When is “Due Diligence” actually ‘Diligent’ rather than ‘Cosmetic’?

Caveat Emptor.

Reality.

Another Forced Landing in Russia of a Bombardier Canadair CRJ-200; Cold Weather Problem?

News Analysis: Another Forced Landing In Russia Of A Bombardier Canadair CRJ-200 jet; Cold Weather Problem? Some have suggested since it is Allegedly the 3rd Forced Landing in 4 Days, due to a variety of Components failing, maybe the Aircraft Systems are sensitive to the Cold? In any event, Public Safety Concerns have to mandate the Aviation Authority in Russia review this Numerically Unique set of rapidly occurring Negative Events of the CRJ-200 by Canadair.

Perhaps, Temporary Grounding of all CRJ-200 Aircraft in Russia would give the Air Authority time to engage in Due Diligence in investigating this troubling situation. If so grounded, during this brief period, at least no crew or passengers would be at risk. Prudence is superior to Peril in Aviation. Reality.

Missouri, USA, German Ancestored White Wines are Rejuvenating

News Analysis: Missouri, USA, German Ancestored White Wines are rejuvenating due to Favorable Weather this year. A history of Germans in Missouri having, for over a Century, grown White Varietal Grapes bodes well for current production.

About 400 Vineyards exist which serve the 125 Operating Wineries in the State. Since the Typical very wet weather of Missouri exists, White Wines are in greater favor for their Quality than “Reds”. The Sale of Missouri Wines predominately takes place Domestically. As such, Entrepreneurs may want to consider “Foreign Sales” of the Missouri Wines since  a World Shortage of Product exists. Consultations with an Enologist and Viticulturist can provide Technical Judgements of the Missouri Wines Industry and its anticipated Quality of Production.

“Due Diligence” is an Insurance Policy for Wise Investors. Reality.

World Wineries Want Wonderful Weather

News Analysis:  World Wineries want Weather Improvement for better quality Grape Harvests.  Due to Climate Change, more rain and hail have damaged many Vineyards in assorted countries.

Investors, employing Due Diligence,  may want to consider discussing with Enologists and Viticulturists about other more suitable geographic areas for Vineyards.

Since, High Quality Wine Production, is  complicated but achievable through years of work, experienced employees are one of the  keys to profitability. Marketing Expertise is absolutely necessary if selling of a Variety of wine[s] is to be at a market  high ‘Price Point’.

Global Warming Impacts Russia

News Analysis: Global Warming impacts Russia in various ways. Consider the Positive: The Russians adaptation to this change may provide them with Financial Opportunities Galore in this “Land of Plenty”. To wit: Shrinking Ice Levels in the Arctic Ocean allow for a greater number of Vessels and Faster Ship Travel from Europe to Asia and vice versa; Warmer waters should bring additional species of fish into the area for harvesting; Surface Mining, for smaller operations in particular, may be enhanced by the lack of ice in many areas; New methods in Agronomy might allow for Short Season Farming where Perma-frost is abating; Investors might also consider investing in “River Craft” Boat Yards. Siberian Transportation by this method will become more advantageous; due to both lack of ice in certain areas as well as higher water levels thereon.

Investors, who might consider Siberian Opportunities must take a point of view that: “The Drinking Glass is ‘Half-Full’; rather than ‘Half-Empty'”. That Concept, in conjunction with “Thinking Outside The Box”, Due Diligence, Adequate Capitalization, and Tenacity will lead them to Financial Success in Russia. The World Belongs to the Aggressive.
