News Analysis:  Some people think the continued Lithium Ion Battery problems of the Boeing 787 Aircraft susbstantiate the need for a re-examination by Aviation Authorities; This of the probability of fire commencing in such batteries on aircraft. This Carbon/Carbon Composite Aircraft CANNOT tolerate a fire incident without possible serious results. If such an event were to occur it would become a “Nightmare Liner” to its Manufacturer.

Various Aircraft Engineers think the Airframe grossly mis-judged both the Electrical Demands and the Electrical Supplies necessary for this Aircraft when it was designed. Now, existing customers and potential customers might consider how such negative events created by questionable design assumptions might impact their own Airline Flight Operations.

News Analysis: The Heathrow, England fire debacle, allegedly caused by a small battery in the 787,  reportedly had Composite Panel and Structure Damage requiring a  TWO MONTH Repair. Since the Airframe is keeping the Repair Methodology Used A Secret. Airlines, who have purchased or may purchase such a Composite Aircraft, are reportedly dismayed at the “Blackout”.  

One may question: Why the repair took so long? and Why the Manufacturer went “Black” about the Repair Methodology. A person knowledgeable about Aircraft might think that the damage to the 787 was more severe than disclosed AND/OR more costly  than discussed.

If Airlines had Clarity about this entire Fire Event, they may seek the purchase of Metal Aircraft (perhaps a little heavier but not Flammable; as is both Carbon and Petrochemical Adhesives used to bond the Carbon together).

Boeing Aircraft’s loss of a $4 Billion Dollar Sale to Brazil may bode poorly for it as well as other American Manufacturers who, some say, “Aligned themselves with the Devil” . The very Lame  excuses for the Spying Transgressions against ‘Friendly Countries’ are as poor as the Offerors’ empathies as allegedly expressed. Perhaps the self-fulfilling Ego/Mental Onanisms of the Characters in Washington, D.C. contribute to the moral blight?

The ‘NSA’ expressed no Contrition as one in the ‘Real World’ would expect. Its Mandate is to collect Electronic Intelligence (which it performs brilliantly). The problem it has becomes one of Intellectual Failure of Operational  Judgement as to Who, Where, and When are “Off-Limits”.

The U.S. Congress, primarily consisting of Attorneys,  apparently “Blew It” by not Inculcating OPERATIONALLY SUFFICIENT “Stoppages” If and When the NSA overstepped its Mandate. The White House was just as Culpable in not having the Wisdom to see the ‘Mine Field’ it was stepping in. Added to the Amateurish Blunders were its Denials of Knowledge of the NSA Surveillance against ‘Friendlies’. The final “Straw that Broke the Camel’s Back” was the revelation that 7.14 Billion People on Earth were being Electronically Monitored by the NSA.

For Every Tit, There Is A Tat. Now, the Economic Losses to be Experienced in America caused by other Nations and Businesses will hurt the Country when it can be least afforded. Just the example about the Boeing ‘debacle’ (at $4 Billion Dollars) should concern the White House.

Estimates of $35 Billion Dollars in lost Sales by the U.S. Electronics Industry is being reported in the Media. This is because others KNOW that the Electronic Components and Computers built in America have been “Bugged” by their Manufacturers for the benefit of the NSA. 

International Leaders allegedly think that losses to the American Economy of $100 Billion + Dollars a Year ‘might’ get Washington D.C. to realize what their “Stupidity Extraordinaire” has cost the country. As for the ‘NSA’ itself, until its Leaders have ‘Walked the Plank’ their lack of Pain will induce NO gain. The Leaders’ lack of Empathy is very revealing (but not surprising). The financial losses to the country mean little to them. For most, their Entire Careers have been at U.S. Government’s Expense; They have been dining at the “Public Trough” for years.

People in Washington, D.C. are Irate at the ‘Messenger’ who revealed their “Thefts of Privacy World-Wide”. If they could, He would be Executed. Unfortunately,  they are too ‘Neurotic’ to understand the Sociopathic Behavior of which they have been Engaging for Years;  “Catching A Few Terrorists by Spying on the World’s Population”.

Investors can make money by “Short Selling” the Stocks of American Corporations involved with the NSA in any capacity. As these Corporations lose Sales, their prices will fall. Corporations NOT in America should see increases in Sales as a result; go ‘Long’ on them.

Whatever a Wise Investor does, he or she should ALWAYS REMEMBER that Today, when Communicating about Investments of ANY kind: “The Walls Have Ears”.

How to Scrap a Composite Commercial Aircraft

News Analysis: A “25 to 30” year life [or sooner] of composite aircraft necessitates they be environmentally disposed.

Carbon/Carbon aircraft have inherent problems not found with metal aircraft [such as delamination due to stress or  to high energy solar exposure while in flight]. The U.S. Air Force spends millions of dollars a year on composite fuselage protection of the B-2 Bomber. Now, it is seeking $55 Billion for a new bomber.

Perhaps: A possibly shorter life expectancy; more costly fuselage repairs [from the aforementioned]; and, ‘Egg Shell’ disintegration if there is a failure of the landing gear to work causing a “belly landing” will get airlines to re-think. Now, the public will be subjected to ‘repairs’ of damaged commercial aircraft not time-tested by the Airframe.

The airlines being  enamored with the marketed value of a “lighter aircraft” that ‘will reduce fuel burn’ is out of balance with the other issues mentioned. Additionally, the price of fuel is based on supply and demand like any other commodity. New sources of supply of oil are forthcoming presently. The price of aviation fuel will reduce as the supply is increased. Then, how valuable was the fuel cost element compared to the hundreds of millions of dollars spent for the ‘Composite’ aircraft and its inherent frailties?  Reality.
