News Analysis: U.S. President Barack Obama Shakes Hand Of Cuba’s President Raul Castro: ‘Rapprochement occurring?’ some people ask. President Obama has shown Diplomatic Prowess in tendering a Kind Gesture of Respect to the Cuban President. It has taken a Man of Barack Obama’s Political Sensitivities to make this move.
U.S. Presidents of both the Nineteenth and Twentieth Centuries, gave an attitude of Subtle Belligerence towards the Cuban People. This negativity morphed into hostility towards Cubans in General and the Castro Family in Particular. Many people say the refusal of the Castro’s to cede Cuba to American Financial (Petroleum) Interests got the “Norte Americanos” riled up.
Historically, there are many written narratives about the U.S. State Department’s Representatives in Cuba treating the Citizens there as merely ‘peons’ in an “American Fiefdom”. In reality, America wanted Cuba’s Petrochemical Riches (of which apparently, the Castro’s knew).
The Adage: “Bankers And Businessmen Start All Wars” is given credence, in part, by the Historical Global Economic Machinations by some members of the Kennedy Family. Notorious Businessman Joseph Patrick Kennedy, Sr. (the President’s Father) was determined to get the Island of Cuba at any Cost (to Others). He gave directions to his Son and the hostilities against Cuba commenced (Marketed as “Fighting Communism Only 90 Miles Away”).
Joseph Patrick Kennedy, Sr. had the SAME aspirations (which had commenced several decades earlier) for Vietnam’s Mineral Wealth. Again, he gave his Son instructions and the War against Vietnam began (Marketed as the ONLY WAY to stop the “Falling Dominoes of Countries to Communism”). Fifty-eight Thousand American Lives and over Two Million Vietnamese Lives later, Peace occurred.
Today, America appears to have in President Obama a Man who can show the World what a Noble Peace Prize Recipient can contribute to Diplomatic Rapprochement; between a Super-Power and an Island Nation (A Mere Ninety Miles Away).
